Sorry its been so long... I am not much for sitting and working on a blog :/ but since I am heading on a pretty big adventure I thought I would give a brief overview of what has happened the last little while and then jump into my new adventure that awaits me :)
To start... I GRADUATED!!!! I finished me degree in Horticulture in July 2011 from BYUI and loved every minute of it!! Looking back I was very blessed and learned so much not just from classes but from my work and internships and especially my teachers!!
After graduation I moved home for about 6 months till I found a job!! We had all kinds of fun that summer!!!
A few highlights were things like...
Spending as much time with America as possible!!
And helping her with way too many photo shoots :)
I started thinking I was good at it!! bahahaha
I never knew if I would be in the shoot or be her personal assistant :)
I helped put on the Homeschool dance!!! It was awesome because the theme was TIE-DYE!!!
I went all out :)
I helped with making fresh scones as refreshments!!
And kept everyone dancing!!!
Luckily I like this part :)
There was also much wearing of tie dye on a regular basis!!!
And doing Zoomba!!!
Eating ice cream with friends!!!
Throwing parties with Horties in the greenhouses!!
Helping serve food at various events!!!
Went to my first baseball game!!!
And spent as much time as I could at the lake with family!!!!
As many of you know I moved to California in 2012 and was working for a seed company called American Takii!! Super cool and lots of fun!! My main job was to grow and display everything for Spring Trials that happens once a year!! If you dont know what that is its an industry trade show where horticulturists/agriculturists from all over the world come to Cali to look at plants from companies and keep up relations with various companies!!! Its like the red carpet in Horticulture world!!
I was able to grow plants and build displays for two different shows before quitting to have my Africa adventure!! I wanted to show some pictures of all my hard work :) Enjoy!!!
This was a few of the ladies on my crew that made it all happen!!!
This obviously does not do it justice :/ But it looked stunning in person!!! Everyone was in shock and awe over the transformation of the greenhouses!!! I have more pictures from the garden and will post those soon!!!
